Meme of Words

Reply to this post by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you.
Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

(p.s. you don't have to if you don't want to...)

anyhow, [info]bfb gave me these words:

Batman: I provide the Batman eps! Seems to have become some kind of tradition everytime you guys come over...

Looney Tunes
: My babies!! Love them so much ^___^. I pretty much established myself as the Looney Tunes expert at work...and school...oh man, I bug out when people mistake them for Disney...

Pokemon: Chances are you'd find me playing Pokemon on the train...I stopped watching the show though. I remember when I was at the peak of my fangirlyness, when I would record the new episodes every saturday morning, hoping for some Pokeshippyness...oh well...Can't wait for Soul Silver!

Rock Band: If it weren't for you Bea, I probably wouldn't have gotten into Rock Band. I play that game...every chance I get.  Vocals is my forte, but I strive to reach level hard on guitar and drums. I will reach those levels someday!

Now I haz Beatles Rock band, oh yeah, totally geeking out ^__^

DeviantArt: The only website I am on on some kind of daily basis...and is not neglected as other websites I'm on such as fanfic or even LJ XD. DA is fun, I'm there mostly for the art, although making friends is an awesome bonus. (Creepy stalkers and art thieves are a bummer...)

Empty parking garages, roadside motels, dark caves, dank basements, overgrown forests—what kind of setting makes you feel nervous?

All of the above....plus empty train cars, or empty subway stations...dark empty streets....

And very loud thunderstorms...we've been having a lot of those lately...

How many different places (cities, houses, apartments, dorm rooms, etc.) have you lived in? Which is your favorite? And your least favorite?

View 503 Answers

I've lived in the city for as long as I remember. Not in manhattan with all the sky rises and what not...but in the outer boroughs. I've lived in Brooklyn, and now I'm in Queens.

Sure I've gone camping, and I've gone to the old country i.e. El Salvador. I'm no the outdoors type...but if I had no other chopice...then I had no other choice. I've slept on the actual ground, with and also without sleeping bags. I've slept under mosquito nets...

I'll tell you right now, I love the comforts of city life. Running water, flushable toilets...tiled floors...air conditioning.

I really don't like having to ninja my way to the toilet and flushing it myself with a bucket of water...and having little  things that crawl/fly looking at you...

I guess I could put up with living in the country if I had to....I just wouldn't like it ><

Do you believe in monogamy?

View 501 Answers

YES!

I value loyalty. If I ever get involved with someone; I'd want him to be loyal to me, as I would be with him. If he only wants a short-term thing...sorry but no dice. That's why, is I ever choose to be in a relationship, I'd choose him very carefully.

When it comes to love, I don't want to play games.

I may be an old fashioned romantic, but it works for me

How many (if any) songs do you know by heart? What are they?

View 504 Answers

I know a few songs...

Mostly Beatles, Bon Jovi, and Journey songs (as if that were surprising)... a lot of other songs too...cartoon themes and what not...

I've got CDs from pokemon to which I sing along too...

All the songs of West Side Story...I was actually singing along to that musical in my ipod today

Believe it or not, I know a lot of Disney songs by heart...I watched the original classics one too many times in my youth...

and of course there are the songs from my chorus years...

Stolen from Anna-Mcnarin from DA http://anna-mcnarin.deviantart.com/journal/23686108/

A. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
B. Go to imdb and find a quote from each movie.
C. Post them here for everyone to guess.
D. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
E. NO cheating, if you don't know any of them then that's just too bad.
F. You DON'T have to be tagged in the note to play, but if you're tagged, I expect you to create another Note without repeating any of the movies.

1. "Very smooth"
"Ahh, she's obviously nuts about me."
"Obviously"

2. "All me life flashed before me eyes....it was really boring"

3." Heh heh heh. Any psychotic ex-boyfriends I should be aware of?"
"Oh, you have no idea. "

4."Oh Donny! You couldn't kiss me like that and not mean it just a teensy bit!"
"Meet the greatest actor in the world! I'd rather kiss a tarantula. "
 "You don't mean that. "
 "I don't - - Hey Joe, get me a tarantula."

5. “Kiss my frozen tushy! Kiss it, kiss it!”

6. “I've got Viagra.”
“Oh yeah? Well I've got mace.”

7.  “I remember the first time I saw a rattler curled up in my path. This one didn't look like a rattler, but I was still thinkin' 'snake'.”

8. “Where did you learn that?”
"Master Ching.”
“Master Ching of Hong Kong?”
“No, Freddy Ching on Crenshaw.”
“They're brothers.”

9.  ” Why do we fall, sir? So that we might learn to pick ourselves up.”

10.  “That's why papa says she'll never get married.”

uh well...midterms week

Funny thing about one of my classes. The professor gives open book/open notes quizzes and still over half the class fails....how sad is that? I passed the first quiz with a miserable grade...but then second quiz I redeemed myself, so...yay

today we had our midtem. He handed out the test at like....12ish...the class ends at 12:30...and 85% of the class didn't leave until 1 (including me).

eventhough it was a challenging midterm, I was in a good mood after I finished. Which is kinda weird since I was starving....

oh well....expect more MIA days from me...many a model to build I has....

Well, I be back home now...

wanna hear about my trip? keep reading...

ok, when we left, it was snowing and the roads were icy. We went to pick up my aunt and we left NY at 6:30 pm wednesday evening. Traffic wasn't so bad. We've had the experience of traveling during a holiday, where all the food places were closed. So what we did is pack sandwiches to eat on the road. I drove some of the way, my dad drove most of the way.

When I was driving, we were going through Virginia. We didn't even notice new years go by...my family (parents and I) don't celebrate new years so we didn't miss anything. Clock went from 11:59 to 12:00...big deal, it does that all the time. (don't let my boring-ness spoil your fun...that's just my opinion). Anyhow...I almost ran over a red fox. scared the crap outta me. It was cute though...the fox I mean, not the almost-roadkill

We ate breakfast at Craker Barrel...mmm, best breakfast evar! Definetly my fave part of the trip...i lurve biscuits and gravy ^^

We arrived in Georgia (Dalton to be specific) at 11:30. Nobody was home...we were outside waiting for them to get home. When they did, they let us in, said hi and all that jazz. They're all my dad's side of the family. Lotsa uncles and aunts and cousins...we ate, talked, watched movies...all that good stuff.

My mom only has a niece there whom recently moved there, we visited her too. But to get to her house from where we were was an hour's drive, with lotsa turns and stuff through a mountain.  Then we took her, and her boyfriend, back to the other house to introduce them to our other family. Then take them back...we do a lot of driving...

Then the other day we went with my dad's fam to visit more family over in Tennessee...a good 4hr drive. We went on a wild goose chase to find a place that selled seafood...It was somewhere in Nashville. The store was the only store I've seen that was...multicultural. I found some yummy japanese gummies. I introduced my mango gummies to the family and they loved it. I ended up going back to buy more. Afterwards, on the road again to the other family, we went to walmart to buy ingredients for lasagne.

When we did arrive in Tennessee, my mom went to make seafood soup and lasagne.(My uncle's house had wi-fi so i was on my laptop for a while there too...)  My cousins were running all over the place causing mayhem. And I was invited to join o_O. We played hide-and-seek and telephone. They were cute and all...but so very annoying. Especially the oldest one (home lived in that house btw). She was loud, bossy, and obnoxious. And she had High School Musical all over hr room...need I say more? Her sister was sweeter, but such a friggin crybaby. They were both drving me nuts.

My other 3 cousins were boys. The oldest one was a push-over...but talked a lot. He chipped my tooth last time  came to Georgia (and that was the only way he remembered me). His lil brother was a sweetie, but he messed with his brother a lot. And the older one didn't do anything, so naturally he took advantage of that.

The other one was the smallest one. And he talked back to his mom a lot...tsk tsk

yeah well, my fave part of the evening was when we took out the wii and started playing Rockband. Soo much fun ^^ too bad we could never finish a song...cause the lil ones kept intrfering. I vow to buy that game one day! *shakefist*

Then after dinner, we started playing a latino version of 'bingo' called 'loteria'. I ended being the caller and I had to call ut the pictures fast and in both languages (for teh kids). it was fun, but i felt like I was losing my voice. All the calling and the previous rockband-ing...

Next day we went shopping and bought the kids stuff. After that we made the 4hr trip back to GA. We went to visit more family there. With the guide of our GPS, we found them all. We had some drama with our GPS (which we nicknamed 'Lola'....like in RV not Bunny...) and my older cousin. What ended up happening was that Lola took us through a different route than my cousin was used too, and he was all worried and stuff. But Lola pulled through for us, and we ended up dubbing my cousin 'Lolo'.

We then went to another relative, and she gave us some mexican style soup. Twas good stuff. I ended up driving us back to Dalton, since my dad was drinking. I's the responsible driver ^^

Then the next day, we went to my mom's niece and hung out with her and her boyfriend. We went to walmart and some other stores...tried to find a mexican restaurant that didn't exist...and ended up eating at a sorry excuse for a chinese buffet. We then said our goodbyes and left them off at their house...went back to Dalton...packd our things and said our goodbyes to that family. We ended up leaving for home at 6:30pm...

My dad told me to try to get some sleep, but i couldn't. I have to be deadbeat tired to fall asleep in the car. So...when he got sleepy, I was going to be too. But I took the wheel anyway. My mom made sure I wouldn't nod off to sleep, she gave me candy and stuff. I was singing along to the music, being all hyper. I was playing leap-frog with a transformer, I mean, truck...I lost a piece of the car (some plastic thingy that goes over the window). Yup...fun tiemz

My dad has no problem sleeping in the car. So he went to sleep right away. When I couldn't anymore, he took the wheel. I did sleep in the car that time. Next ime I wok up, we were in pennsylvania. I took the wheel and drove. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast...and I drove us all the way back home.

NY traffic was't as bad as I thought it was going to be. After dropping off my aunt, we arrived home at 11:30 am. we unloaded and went straight to sleep.

It was fun, me liked driving ^^

I did make a few observations:
1. You need to have a car in GA (and most other places too). The only was to get around thos places are by car, and everything is so far...I like NY's public transportation (although crappy). I don't depend on cars to get where i have to go.
2. There are a lot of Baptist churches ing GA. It was like every half-a-mile there was a baptist church. I only saw one catholic church and one seven-day-adventist one...
3. 70 mph limit is teh shiznits...i was going 80+ at some parts though...hee hee
4. Cracker Barrel = <3
5. Walmarts abound...like, all over the place. There aren't that many in NY. They're hidden in Long Island and upstate...
6. Stars are beautiful (and visible) outside the city. When switching sides, I stole a peek at the sky, I wanted to stare longer, but i couldn't...we were contanly driving.

anyhow....longest entry evar....enjoy it o___O

anyhow, this winter vacation wont be much of a vacation. I'll be working and stuff...damn screwed economy

btw, I'm going on a roadtrip to Atlanta, Georgia. I'll be leaving wednesday night...and wont be back till monday. I might bring my laptop with me...so...yeah...

other then that I have nohing else to say....

The holiday season happens to overlap with cold and flu season (and not just the bottle flu). When you get sick, do you go to work or school anyway, or do you stay home to avoid spreading your germs?

View 500 Answers

I go to school/work...just pack lots tissues and a pound worth of halls...( and a spitty cup...)

I can't miss a day of either...Sure I wouldn't want to go, but what else could I do? I miss one day of school, I'll miss a whole lot of info. If I miss one day of work, that's less money in my paycheck...

I'd stay home if I was REALLY sick...like, can't-get-out-of-bed-at-all kinda sick...
